Buckle Up |

Buckle Up is a camp for riders with intermediate experience with horses. This camp is designed to allow the students maximum time in the saddle learning intermediate maneuvers with the horse. In this camp we will teach teach complete control over different part of the horses body. This camp also include arena games like cattle pinning, and sorting. Some rodeo events will be taught and trail maneuvers will be mastered. At the end of the week all campers will go on a trail ride through the beautiful Sam Houston National Forest.
In addition to riding everyday, students will have full access to the many activities on the campgrounds. Swimming, recreation, campfires, and Bible studies are just some of the many activities that will take place during the week.
The camp will conclude with a horse show where awards and prizes will be distributed. All graduates from this camp will be eligible to enroll in the Train Up camp.
Buckle Up 2009 Camp dates:
All Girls - July 29-July 3; July 6-10; July 13 -17
All Boys - July 20-24
Camp Cost - $750
*Campers may stay overnight at the comfortable air-conditioned and fully furnished cabins, or commute from home each day. Commuters will receive a $50 discount on the cost of the camp. |
